The cap is square and the hilt is multi-pointed, with an "N" motif under the crown and a radiating star under the imperial crown. Quillon en fleurette. Beautiful blade with flat back, gutter and hollow sides, gilded and blued on two thirds, engraved on the back with "Coulaux Frères Klingenthal", eagles and "Garde Impériale". Scabbard with two large gilt brass fittings decorated with helmets, jellyfish heads and caduceus, with one hollow covered in shagreen. Sting decorated with lightning. B.E.
