VOLUNTEER OFFICER'S SABRE Montmorency style gilt brass mounting. Long-tailed helmet cap helmet. Joint arch forming the openwork plate with a radiant sun, from which two branches form the shell the shell decorated with the republican symbols of the lictor beam and Phrygian on a plant crown. Wooden fuse covered with a double copper filigree in copper. Curved Solingen blade with hollow sides, chased, gilded and one-third blued. No scabbard. France, circa 1792. Total length: 97 cm PROVENANCE : - Roger de Montégudet collection (1880-1925) - by descent to this day.
