The Freistelle in the Fürstenschule zu Grimma. Collection of 81 hs. Letters concerning vacant places at the princely school in Grimma. Herzberg and others, 1662-1815. ca. 130 thread-stitched vols. (a few loose). Various sizes. Sizes from approx. 20 x 16.5 to 33 x 19.5 cm. Mostly untrimmed laid paper, some with watermark and seal. Inlaid in binding cover (approx. 42 x 29 cm). Pigskin leather on 6 bands with marbled endpapers. With marbled endpapers, chisel lines, scroll and plate stamps (front showing Justitia, back showing another virtue, binding database P002078) (rubbed, somewhat stained and soiled).
