Saxon friendship lidded goblet Colourless glass, cut. Bell-shaped, rising foot with everted rim, the honeycomb-faceted baluster shaft and bulbous base of the dome with a large, pierced air bubble, domed lid with corresponding honeycomb-faceted knob and rim. Chiselled decoration on the dome, cartouche-framed pictorial field on the front with scenic depiction of David and Jonathan, inscription on the back "Treuer freunden". Motto "Faithful friend's friend (/) duty of friendship (/) does not change even in the grave". H. 27.5 cm.
