Gr. in-8 (25,3 x 19 cm), garnet morocco, framed with three gilt fillets on the covers, gilt coat of arms in the centre, spine ribbed and decorated with gilt motifs, blue morocco lining with large gilt lace frame, marbled double endpapers, gilt edges (Chambole-Duru). [4] ff, 122 ff (misfigured cxvi) - [4] ff, f. 123 to 232 (misfigured 231). Text in two columns in gothic script. a4, A-4 Second edition printed by Le Noir. "An extremely rare and choice edition of this rare Romance of Chivalry, the French text by Robert de Borron" (Seillière catalogue). Reversal of the last 2 pages of the table of the second volume with the last 2 pages of the first quire (AA) of the same second volume.
