Height: 23.5 cm - Width: 8 cm - Depth: 4 cm On a wooden base Gross weight: 350 g Saint John of Capistran (1386--456) was an Italian Franciscan monk, tireless preacher and renowned jurist. A member of the Order of Friars Minor, he travelled throughout Europe preaching the Catholic faith. In 1456, despite his advanced age, he spiritually led the Christian troops in the defence of Belgrade against the Ottomans, for which he is depicted wearing military regalia.
