Didot le jeune, 1791; in-24, xlviii-130 pp, contemporary binding in long-grained red morocco, gilt fillets and roulette framing the boards with intersecting diamond-rectangle motif, ornate smooth spine, light blue moire lining and endpapers, interior roulettes, gilt edges. A very fine first edition printed on Essonne wove paper. According to his credo, the author defends the idea that all truth is to be found in nature.
A very fine copy in an exquisite red morocco binding in the style of François-Paul Bradel. It comes from the very select library of Raphaël Esmerian, with ex-libris; ex-libris RS (Robert Schuman, title absent from catalogues).
