SALON LANTERN - The Embden Collection
Transition, Paris, ca. 1775.
Gilt bronze. Decorated with baluster vases, shells, scrolls, garlands, flowers, and leaves. Cylindrical shape with five curved, arched glass panes, opening on one side. Central shaft with five curved light branches, supported by five curved arms that converge at the top in scrolls. Fitted for electricity (to be checked).
Ø 36.5 cm, H 62 cm.
Signs of use and losses. Upper suspension ring and lower shaft replaced. Gilding rubbed and needs cleaning.
