Autograph signed letter from George Sand: A Monsieur Léon Brothier Souvenir affectueux. A social philosopher in the vein of Fourier and Saint-Simon, Brothier was the first writer of the Social Party programme. George Sand said of him: "Of all the philosophers I have read, Brothier is the one who struck me most by the soundness of his reasoning".
Nice set despite minor wear to the corners.
