Sergei Yakovlevich Savinov was a writer, journalist and translator. He took part in the First World War and the Russian Civil War. As an emigrant, he lived in Prague and then Berlin. He was one of the representatives of the Panslav movement in exile. During the Second World War, he found himself in Germany, was 'di-pi', and continued to write and publish his works in Munich.
