An account of the thirtieth ascent of Mont Blanc. This "Savoisien" is Abbé G. Caux, who made the thirtieth ascent of Mont-Blanc on 31 August 1843, along with George Nicholson, Dr. Edouard Ordinaire and Henri Jacot. He had made an attempt to climb the mountain in 1842 with Chevalier Jacques Carelli de Roca Castello. Extremely rare brochure, of which only 5 or 6 copies are known, this one in perfect condition.
