Depicts a woman playing guitar and a cat. Printed by "Etablissements C.Ferrier & cie- Marseille". The Le Chat brand was created in 1853 by the Marseille soap manufacturer C. Ferrier et Cie. The 19th century was the golden age of Marseille soap. In 1986, Le Chat lost its Marseilles accent when the German group Henkel, after taking over UGS (Union Générale des Savonneries) and the Sainte-Marthe factory, relocated the brand across the Rhine (source: lamarseillaise.fr).
