First edition of this rare English adaptation of Julien-David Le Roy's Ruines d'Athènes (see lot no. 164069). The work is illustrated with 26 plates hors texte of views, sections, elevations and architectural details of Greek monuments engraved on copper after those of Le Roy. The frontispiece is missing. Unbound copy carefully restored in 2021. The boards of the original binding are preserved, without the spine. Minor marginal repairs and light spotting to a few leaves.
