SYSTEM SEAL
OF FRIAR JEHAN PRUNET
The matrix in copper metal alloy
circular shape with a conical socket decorated
with six petals. The two-piece field
engraved with a central shield with the Agnus
Dei in the centre of a trilobe with alternating points
and at the edge of the nominative legend
in orle: + S' FRISIOHIS x PRVNET in capital letters
engraved between two fillets.
England, 14th century.

(Good condition, the upper removable hoop is missing)
This type of system die is rare and seems to be
characteristic of England. These
allow the use of a "small seal" without the legend
