CYLINDER SEAL A cylindrical hexahedron with a hole through it. The scenes depicted tell the story of Pâris' Choice. Each side is engraved with a character; a male figure standing in profile to the right and wearing a cloak over his shoulders. He is wearing a Phrygian hat. In his right hand he is holding a staff (Pâris) / Female figure depicted in three-quarter view, wearing a peplos and a himation leaving her right shoulder sensually bare. She is holding an apple in her right hand, possibly the goddess Aphrodite / again, a male figure seated in profile on rocks, in a reflective position / the goddess Athena, standing in profile to the left, helmeted, in her left hand she is holding an owl. At her feet is her shield / another female deity, standing in profile from the left, fully clothed, her head covered with the himation. She is holding a sceptre in her right hand, which could be Hera/ the god Hermes, shown standing naked in profile from the left, with his caduceus. Use of globular elements.
