CHESS PIECE SET
Delhi/India, early 19th century.
32 ivory figures, finely turned and partly open-work carved and partly coloured green.
H green king 13.2 cm, h white king 12.5 cm, h pawn 6.5 cm.
White figures with signs of wear and rubbed in places. The white king with a loss at the top of the cross and minor chipping at the base. Left ear of a white bishop chipped. Green figures partly with loss of colour, rubbed and minimal chipping. Flags of the green towers loose.
