The rare collector's sheets each show six depictions of ship scenes. - I. "Royal Anna", "Schiffe auf den Sandbaenken", "Royal-Souvereign", "Ein Kriegs Schiff vom 1. Rang", "Ein Schiff vom 3ten Rang", "Meer-Stille" - II. "Schiffbruch", "Schiffe die unter die Scheeren gerathen", "Ein See Stück beym Mond-Schein", "Die Verdrehung des Schiffes nach dem Wind", "See-Schlacht zur Nacht-Zeit", "Nacht-See-Stück bey einem Wetter" - III. "Royal-George", "Barfleur", "Britannia", "Die-Schiffs Wendung", "Die Englische Fischerey", "Der Groenlandische Walfisch-Fang". - Delicately browned in margins due to paper, reinforced at fold on verso, only slightly stained, occasional pale brown spots, sheet III with trace of previous mounting at upper corners on verso. Good overall. Strong, nuanced impressions in well-preserved colouring. Collection of 3 hand-coloured engraved plates after drawings by Thomas Baston. - The rare engraved sheets each depict six ship scenes: as listed above. - Delicately browned in margins due to paper, verso reinforced at fold, only slightly stained, occasional pale brown spots, sheet III on verso with trace of previous mounting at upper corners. Good overall. Strong, nuanced impressions in well-preserved colouring.
