A Chinese man sitting on a cushion with an open book. A female servant standing behind him, holding a protective parasol made of brass and porcelain. Flanking the group are two Chinese children in kimonos as inkwells and sandpots. The robes painted in polychrome with various flowers, the tray with "Rich Yellow Dragon" decoration. Gold staffage.
