Gr. in-8 (25 × 17.7 cm), violet morocco, broad Art Nouveau-style framing of foliage in mosaic morocco in different shades of green, sand and brown, ribbed spine decorated in the same way, grey morocco lining decorated with a gilt fillet frame with mosaic violet morocco flowers at the corners, green brocaded silk endpapers, covers and spine preserved, gilt edges, folder and slipcase (Canape et Corriez - 1926). Edition decorated with 10 out-of-text figures by Carlos Schwabe, wood-engraved in colour by Jacques, Camille, Georges and Marcel Beltrand, including the frontispiece; each page also has a wood-engraved floral frame in grey monochrome. Limited edition of 120 numbered copies on wove paper (no. 76 for M. Roger-Marx). We have bound in fine 3 attempts to print the frontispiece, using different processes. "A handsome, sought-after and highly-rated edition" (Carteret). The copy was included in the exhibition "Neue Kunst in der Schweiz zu Beginn unseres Jahrhunderts" at the Kunsthaus Zürich in 1967 (no. 234). Charming mosaic lined binding by Canape et Corriez, matching the illustration. Spine of dust jacket slightly faded, otherwise a superb copy. Bibliography: Carteret, Illustrés, IV, 355
