Heavy samovar in classicist silver style. Four-sided stand supported by paw feet, merging into a trumpet-shaped foot and a hemispherical, smooth body. The centre of the wall surrounded by palmette and volute decoration in relief. Low-set tap merging into a sculptural lion's head as a spout. Recessed shoulder rising to a hinged lid. A stylised pine cone as a pommel. Arched handles on the sides, correspondingly decorated with lion heads at the base. The lid, shoulder and foot divided by circumferential godron bands. Marked, inspection mark and master Ivan Lebedkin, unknown master's mark "ICA". Weight approx. 2620 g. H. 33 cm. A heavy neoclassical Russian silver samovar. Assay and assay master's mark, unknown master's mark "ICA". Russia. Moscow. Around 1900.
