TABERNACLE SCRIBAN A two-piece scribe chest in walnut and other wood veneer and marquetry. The upper part opens with a flap topped by a leaf framed by five drawers on each side. The inside flap is lined with leather and reveals six small drawers topped by two drawers in the waistband. The central leaf opens onto a top drawer and a locker. The lower part of the unit is a chest of drawers with three drawers. Crushed ball feet. Germany or Austria, 18th century. Height: 201.5 cm - Width: 131.5 cm - Depth: 65 cm (Damage, missing parts and restorations). PROVENANCE - Rochechouart de Mortemart family
