Sculpture teaching Chinese acupuncture, made of wood and covered with cloth impregnated with a white clay called kaolin. The sculpture depicts a man in a loincloth on a cylindrical base. The body is covered with holes and inscriptions representing acupuncture points. In the past, acupuncture teachers travelled extensively throughout China to pass on their knowledge, and these statues, made from a very light wood, enabled them to teach. Total height: 83.5 cm.
