Engraving depicting the central fresco of the ceiling in the Room of the Sun and Moon at Palazzo Te, featuring the chariots of the Sun and Moon driven by Apollo and Diana in a bold upward perspective. The composition symbolises the continuous cycle of time. Traditionally attributed to Giulio Romano, the fresco was likely completed by Francesco Primaticcio. Copper engraving (535 x 240mm).
