SCYTHIAN FAIENCE HORSE PLAQUE. Ca. 9th - 8th century BC. A faience horse-shaped plaque in turquoise-blue, depicting a stylised equine figure with an elongated, curving body and a notched mane forming a serrated crest along the upper edge. The head extends forward with an open mouth. The legs are slender and slightly curved, terminating in rounded hooves.
