Mahogany flap desk opening to a drawer and two leaves containing a chest, the top Flanders red marble top (inscribed on the reverse N18) resting on uprights with fluted sides and recessed shelves; ornamentation gilded bronzes (some bronzes at a later date); CP mark surmounted by a G (not unidentified); inventory label the end of the 19th century inside a drawer drawer (probably brought back at a date). Stamped by Nicolas Petit and JME, cabinetmaker awarded the title of Master in 1761. Louis XVI period (small accidents and restorations).
