Miniature Mexican saddle c.1910-1920 Magnificent small-scale saddlery work mounted on two thick leather quarters entirely embroidered with plant motifs (flowers and leaves) in silver thread. The seat (frame) is made of a wooden structure covered with fine leather stretched and sewn (parchment). The cantle and pommel (typically Mexican) are encircled by hammered metal. This object of rare quality is equipped with stirrup leathers with stirrups (tapaderos), a girth (on one side, made of rope adorned with red woollen pompoms) with its fastening straps, two large saddlebags and a lasso hidden under one of them, as well as numerous supple leather straps. Most of these accessories are embellished with vegetable embroidery in silver thread. A remarkable piece, with its wooden display stand. H. 31.5 cm, L. 13.5 cm, W ; 28.5 cm. Very good condition.
