Rare Art Déco vase with "Lotus" decoration by Argy-Rousseau Ovoid with a wide mouth and three small eyelet handles. Pâte de verre, colourless, light green and dark purple, mould-melted, partially ground and polished. Triple Egyptian-style decoration of stylised lotus blossoms in relief. Signed "G. ARGY-ROUSSEAU". H. 10.2 cm.
After the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb in 1923, Gabriel Argy-Rousseau frequently used Egyptian motifs.
