Rare Empire figurine pendulum "Chiron and Achilles" bronze, fire-gilt and partly dark patinated. Rectangular clock case on a narrow moulded base with sculptured chimeras. In the articulated front a profile-framed, glazed, white, minimally dam. Enamelled dial, marked Lefevre suc. De Belle à Paris, flanked by carytids in raised relief with drapery movement. Applied war trophies on the sides. Sculptural finial depicting the centaur Chiron with his pupil Achilles as an archer, whom he instructed in the arts of war, music and medicine. Pendulum movement with thread suspension and half-hour strike on bell. H. 47.5 cm. 29 cm x 16.5 cm.
