Rare figure "Schminkende" by Peter Strang A young lady sitting on a chair with a handbag draped over it and gazing intently into a small mirror, wearing a fine dress with a frilled collar. Polychrome painting with enamel colours and burnished gold. Designed by Peter Strang, 1966, decor designed by Prof. Heinz Werner, in agreement with Strang. Artist's sign "P. Strang". Model no. 73419. crossed swords mark. H. 22 cm. This depiction was inspired by Strang's wife Ute Radlach, whom he married in 1964 and who prompted him to create further female figures. Cf.
