Depictions of various exotic birds sitting on a branch in a park-like landscape supported by diamond-shaped bands and a gilt foliage cartouche. Scattered blossom and fruit branches. Matching domed lid with cherry finial and corresponding bird decoration. Fine polychrome painting, probably by Louis Victor Gerverot. Purple-coloured border with gold staffage.
