Rare, small baroque casket. Silver, fully gilt. On eight elliptical feet, a widely flared, wave-shaped curved base with chased and embossed leaf frieze. Above an octagonal body with a moulded rim and lavish fruit, flower and volute decoration in relief. Widely protruding, domed and hinged lid with a smooth, wavy rim. In the centre of the lid, an enamel medallion framed by leaves and surrounded by a wreath of leafy tendrils and fruit in relief. The medallion depicts the Roman goddess Juno above the clouds, seated in a shell chariot pulled by peacocks, in fine, purple-coloured enamel painting against a white background. Marked by a tremolier line and the mark of the master Johann Haltenwanger (became master in 1684). Weight approx. 225 g. H. 7 cm. 13.5 cm x 11.5 cm.
