Rare KPM-Berlin Art Nouveau bonbonnière with. Pâte-sur-Pâte and jewelled decoration Box in the shape of a reclining Easter egg with a domed lid on an oval, slightly flared stand. Cobalt blue background on the wall, below a recessed leaf relief border. Rich, all-round floral decoration of fine gold tendrils in relief with transparent, burgundy, sun-yellow, green and milky opaque pink and turquoise-coloured fused enamel flowers and leaves, so-called jewelled porcelain. The lid framed in a drop-shaped reserve with a raised depiction of a woman's head in profile in white pâte-sur-pâte painting on a grass-green background. In the picture painter's monogr. "HT" for Hermann Thiele (1867-1930). Modelled by Richard (Edmund) Flöricke (active c. 1892-1942). Model book entry March 1900. decor painter no. for Willi Schäfer (active around 1891 - 1929).
