Rare Meissen figure of a soldier Standing on an oval plinth next to a boulder, an infantry soldier with a spiked helmet and green uniform, blowing a horn. Utensils and weapons attached to his belt. Between 1897 and 1932 Alfred König (1871-1940 ) was employed as a permanent modeller at the Meissen manufactory. He created numerous figures and groups of figures, including children, Japanese, dancing couples, ladies and gentlemen in costume and soldiers of the First World War.
