Rare Meissen figurine group "Mutterglück". Original title. Oval, moulded base with cloverleaf reliefs. Over rocky terrain, a young lady seated on a voluted bench, dressed in an antique-style white robe with her right breast exposed. On her lap is a pink-coloured cloth patterned with gold tendrils. She is embracing a seated, slumbering child on her left and a boy with an apple standing on her right. Polychrome painting with gold staffage. Designed by Emmerich Andresen, c. 1900. model no. S 168. minor rest. minor wear; centreboard mark. H. 31 cm. 29 cm x 20 cm. The sculptor Emmerich Andresen created numerous female allegorical figures in the classical style, which are characterised by charm and grace in posture and expression. A rare porcelain figure group of a mother with two children, titled "Mother's happiness". Restored. Crossed swords mark. Meissen. Circa 1900.
