Rare Meissen Art Nouveau vase with floral decoration. Slender cylindrical shape on a low foot ring with rounded shoulder and stepped, moulded rim. The wall with Art Nouveau decoration set into a sand-coloured background. Surrounded by large foliage reserves with red berry decoration, surrounded by corresponding decorative bands and borders. Painted in black and red copper ochre with matt gold. Mould design probably by Theodor Grust. Model no. X 146, crossed swords mark. H. 40 cm.
A comparable vase is in the Museum of Decorative Arts (Umeleckoprumyslové museum) in Prague.
