Rare relief medallion with a portrait of "Gustav II Adolf,. King of Sweden" as a pendant Porcelain. Oval plaque with half-profile bust portrait of Gustav II Adolf (1594 - 1632). Marked "Gustav Adolf" incised on the right edge. Silver mount with hinged pendant eyelet, decorated in relief with acanthus border and set with river pearls and cut and set coloured stones. Stone losses. Plaque 6 cm x 5 cm. Total h. 8 cm. W. 7.5 cm. Cf. Arnold, cat. Spitzer Collection, no. 74 (similar in style).
