First edition, published in five issues, illustrated with 5 vignettes in the text (at the end of each issue) and 40 off-text plates on chine appliqué, lithographed after Pingret. The views were lithographed by the Bove printing house run by Noël l'aîné or by Henry Gaugain. The figures were drawn by Victor Adam. The work has been re-mounted on tabs. Scattered foxing, little marked except on the first pages of the text and in the margins of some plates.
