EARTHENWARE FUNERAL SERVER IN THE NAME OF IRETHOREROU
Egyptian art, Late Period, 30th dynasty, 379-341 BC
Statuette of a mummiform funerary servant, depicted standing on a square base, wearing a tripartite wig and a false beard, with his hands crossed over his chest and holding farming implements. On the body, a hieroglyphic inscription in 10 lines takes up chapter VI of the Book of the Dead and gives the name of the deceased: Irethorerou, director of the scribes of the council.
Fracture to the legs. Label under the base "48".
