III, Tables 28-29) and again by Brosio in 1973 (V. Brosio, Rossetti Vische Vinovo, Milan, 1973, fig. 83, p. 77), already as belonging to the Appendino collection: the scholar noted how this particular production of serviti complete with travel cases was not uncommon in Vinovo, in the wake of what was done in other manufactories of the time, starting with the Royal Manufactory in Naples (to limit ourselves to Italian manufactories). Stylistically straddling the line between rocaille and an early hint of neoclassicism in the style of Louis XVI, the service is housed in a travel case that is probably coeval and bears an unidentified bishop's coat of arms, possibly for the del Carretto family (banded in silver and blue).
