Paris, Dupuis, an VI (1798).
In-8, half brown basane, smooth spine decorated, red edges (period binding).
First French edition illustrated with a folding map of the itinerary and a true bibliophilic curiosity noted by Chadenat:
"A very curious feature recommends this book to bibliophiles. It is printed entirely on vellum paper, specially manufactured for 20-franc assignats.
Each sheet consists of three assignats, the value of which is clearly indicated in the pulp of the paper... It is the only book to offer this particularity". Light foxing. (Chadenat, 1741).
