SAKE SET, Japan, 19th-20th century, comprising:-a black, red and gold lacquer jug, signed,-6 red lacquer sakazuki (sake cups), decorated with chrysanthemums under the base, diam.10.5 cm- 5 sakazuki (sake cups) in red lacquer, with gilded decoration of shôchikubai (the three friends of winter: pine, prunus and bamboo), tsuru (crane) and minogame (turtle with seaweed trail), of varying sizes. [Foot of taihai (large sake cup) broken and glued back together]-2 wooden masu with handle (sake glass) -another wooden object inscribed "rakuen".
