SET OF GREEK SILVER ARMOUR FITTINGS AND HELMET PLUME Ca. 500 - 300 BC. A collection of silver armour fittings, including a plume holder and seven circular appliqués. The holder consists of a twisted shaft with bifurcated prongs at one end and a flared terminal at the other. The appliqués are slightly convex; two are decorated in repoussé with frontal Medusa heads, while the remaining five are fitted with central bosses or domed rivets.
