SÈVRES, LARGE VASE WITH BRONZE MOUNT, LATE 19th CENTURY, 1890 Porcelain spindle-shaped vase with polychrome decoration of hollyhocks on a celadon background, the neck decorated with gold palmettes, the pedestal decorated with rosettes and gold gadroons on a brown background, square gilt bronze base. Marked: S. 90, RF decorated in Sèvres. (Small chips on the upper edge, firing defect). Large ormolu-mounted Sèvres vase, late 19th century, 1890 HEIGHT 114 CM - H. 44.9 IN. - DIAM. 40 CM - D. 15,7 IN. Provenance According to Xenia of Montenegro, this vase was given by France on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the reign of the King and Queen of Montenegro in 1910. It was acquired from Xenia of Montenegro by the great-grandfather of the current owner. CONDITION REPORT : Small chips on the upper edge, small firing defect at the base of the necklace, some soiling and wear to the bronze base.
