National Guard officer's shako. Covered in taupe felt (wear), lizard stripes in silver passementerie, and varnished bourdalou. Pomegranate bosses, velvet-lined chinstraps with fake scales, silver-plated brass cockerel plate in the style of the Second Republic. Varnished visor. Double scarlet and green pompom. Red paper lining marked in pen "AURIMONT PROSPER". Inner leather cap with wolf teeth. Fairly good condition. Second Republic. Provenance: Collection of Monsieur F.
