Signed transitional chest of drawers by Georges Jansen, mahogany and rosewood, veneered and inlaid with various woods. Straight, rectangular body, flanked by angled corner pilaster strips, merging into curved legs. Two optically connected drawers sans traverse and a minimally curved centre risalit in the articulated front. Wide framed, mirrored veneer panels covering the entire surface and inlaid musical attributes on the front. Stamped signature. G.JANSEN (becomes master 1767) and Parisian jury stamp JME.
