Signed Louis XV table à ouvrage by Maison Millet Covered with tortoiseshell and ornamented brass inlays in so-called boullet technique as well as gilded bronze applications. Fitted, curved, slightly concave frame on high, curved, tapered legs, joined below by a recessed shelf. Slightly protruding, profile-framed, hinged top panel. In the centre, large, glazed reserve with multi-figure pastel painting, bordered by opposing leaf scrolls. Below a recessed mirror surface and three storage compartments. Lock signed. Millet à Paris. Founded in 1853 by Théodore Millet, Maison Millet was one of the most important Parisian furniture manufacturers of the 19th century.
