Silber Pauke from Freiherr Rudolf von Recum, Brunswick Hussar. Silver tumbler presented by the Officers' Corps of the Husaren Regiment Nr 17 Braunschweig to Freiherr Rudolf von Recum in April 1919. With regimental skull and crossbones. In the Ranglist at HR17 we find a Freiherr Rudolf Heinrich von Recum, Rittmeister in 1907, Major in 1909 who became Kommandeur of the Ulanen Regiment Nr 8 in 1913. He became Generalmajor and died in 1944. His son Rudolf Alfred Bogdan von Recum also served with the HR17 during the First World War. The goblet is silver with title and maker Binder Wilhelm. Nice condition. Silver goblet of Freiherr Rudolf von Recum, Hussar of Brunswick. Presentation piece offered in April 1919 by the officers of the Husaren Regiment Nr 17 Braunschweig to Freiherr Rudolf von Recum, bearing the regiment's deaths head emblem. Military records place him in HR17 as Rittmeister in 1907 and Major in 1909, later commander of Ulanen Regiment Nr 8 in 1913. He rose to the rank of Generalmajor and died in 1944. His son, Rudolf Alfred Bogdan von Recum, also served in HR17 during the First World War. The goblet is made of silver with makers and silver content hallmarks from Wilhelm Binder. Excellent condition.
