Der zukünftige Buddha Maitreya ist hier als muskulöser Mann in königlichem Schmuck und mit schweren Ohrringen vor einem runden Nimbus gezeigt. Seine welligen Haare sind in einem asymmetrischen Knoten auf der Stirn hochgesteckt und mit einem Haarreif geziert, über seiner Oberlippe ein Schnurrbart. Bekleidet ist er mit einem antaravaska in eleganten Falten um die Beine und einem samghati über die linke Schulter. Er sitzt mit untergeschlagenen Beinen und die Hände in dhyana mudrâ auf einem hohen Podest. Höhe 44cm, Breite 22,5cm. Zustand B. Beilage: Auf einem Holzsockel montiert. The future Buddha Maitreya is shown as a muscular man in royal jewels with heavy earrings in front of a round nimbus. His wavy hair is put up into an asymmetrical lock on his forehead and adorned with a head band, over his lips he wears a mustache. His hips are clad with an elegantly folded antaravasaka and over his left shoulder he wears a sanghati. He is sitting cross-legged and with his hands in dhyana mudrâ on a high pedestal.
