SMALL BUREAU-PLAT, Louis XV, attributed to J. DUBOIS (Jacques Dubois, maitre 1742), Paris circa 1745. Purpleheart and rosewood veneer inlaid with diamond motifs, reserves and fillets. The richly shaped top lined with brown leather and edged in bronze, with broad central drawer flanked by 1 drawer each side and the same but sham arrangement verso. With exceptionally fine matte and polished gilt bronze mounts, applications and sabots. 128x68x88.5 cm. Provenance: - J.P.
