SOCINI (Bartolomeo). Regule cum suis ampliationibus et fallentiis e toto jure delecte... Paris, Galliot Du Pré, s.d. [circa 1512]. In-8, fawn basane, three-ribbed spine, traces of binding (Early binding). Very rare Gothic edition of this work by the Sienese jurist Bartolomeo Socini, published and commented on by Benedetto Vado. The title, printed in red and black, is adorned with Galliot du Pré's large galley mark. Only four copies of this edition are listed at the USTC (kept in Remiremont, Troyes, Versailles and Rome).
From the Augustin de Bellaigue de Bughas library (1795-1876) at Château de la Varvasse, with bookplate. Handwritten inscription to title: de Chauliaguet.
Binding a little worn and missing, faint spotting and a few small brown spots. Privilege crossed out with two pen strokes.
